Born in Chicago, Dr. Sheinkop earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and completed his medical training at Chicago Medical School, followed by a residency at Northwestern University. Over his distinguished career, he has served as a surgeon, educator, and global lecturer in countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Switzerland, and Austria.
Having published over 70 works in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Sheinkop is recognized as a leading authority in orthopedics and regenerative medicine. Reflecting on his career, he shared, “My success in medicine stems from a strong work ethic, some luck, and seizing opportunities. I chose orthopedics during the Vietnam era due to the high demand for that specialty.”
Dr. Sheinkop also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a first lieutenant and captain in the Medical Corps. Now residing in Chicago with his wife of 56 years, Sharon, he enjoys skiing and gardening, emphasizing the role regenerative medicine plays in maintaining an active lifestyle.
